The school-based Traineeship Program gave Harrison the flexibility to maintain his commitment to study while also experiencing what the workforce has to offer.
Completing a Certificate II in Business in Year 11, Harrison went on to complete a Certificate III in Information and Digital Media and is now employed as a Logistics Coordinator at the Department of Health in Alice Springs.
Harrison’s advice to future Traineeship Program participants:
“The traineeship has allowed me to experience what the NT Government could offer and what I could achieve and it has assisted into getting where I am now.”
“Ensure you study hard and view the workplace as an opportunity to develop skills, this way you can get a good start and a good entry into the workforce.”
